State requirements for New York Medical Doctors
New York Medical Doctor Standard Renewal Requirements: Medical Doctors licensed in New York must renew their licenses every 2 or 3 years through online registration or via mailed renewal documents from the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions. There is no general CME credit hour requirement, but physicians must complete specific topic-based training in child abuse identification, pain management and addiction, and infection control periodically. Renewal also requires answering questions about professional conduct and paying a $600 renewal fee. Renewals can be completed online with a PIN provided in renewal notices. Licenses remain active after renewal approval
