Washington Medical Doctor CME

• Washington Medical Doctor Standard Renewal Requirements: Medical Doctors in Washington must renew their license every two years on their birth date, completing 200 hours of continuing medical education every 4 years, with at least 120 hours in AMA PRA Category 1™ credits. Mandatory CME includes a one-time 6-hour course on suicide assessment and management and a one-time 1-hour opioid prescribing course . Physicians may fulfill CME requirements wholly or partially through specialty board certifications such as the AMA Physician Recognition Award or ABMS member board certification, providing flexibility in meeting licensure renewal standards.
