    • Voluntary:

      National Provider Identifier (NPI), Mobile Phone Number, License Expiration Date, Topical Interests, Mailing Address, and Job Title.

  • Automatically Collected Data: When you access the Site, we automatically collect:

    • Technical Data:

      IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and access times.

    • Activity Data:

      Course progress, quiz scores, certificate download history, and activity logs.

    • Tracking Technologies: We use Cookies, Pixels, Web Beacons, and similar technologies to track your activity on our Site, remember your preferences, and deliver targeted advertisements relevant to your profession.

  • To Process Transactions & Operate Services:

    We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information with service providers and partners as described below to operate the Services, process payments, provide support, report credits, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

  • To Verify Eligibility & Reporting:

    We use your DOB, License/Registry IDs, and Specialty to verify your identity and report your completed credits to state boards, national regulatory bodies, and accreditation partners (e.g., CE Broker, CPE Monitor, ACCME PARS).

  • To Prevent Fraud:

    We analyze IP addresses, activity logs, and course progress data to detect account sharing, bots, and fraudulent disputes.

  • To Improve Our Site:

    We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

  • For Business Analysis:

    Wherever possible, we use aggregated, de-identified data (which does not identify you personally) to analyze user demographics and to report on program reach/efficacy to eligible grant providers, accreditors, and business partners.

3. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personally identifiable information for monetary compensation. We may transfer your data to trusted third parties (Service Providers) who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We explicitly share your data in the following situations:

  • Regulatory & Accrediting Bodies:

    If you provide your professional license/registry information, we share your Completion Data with applicable State Licensing Boards (e.g., Boards of Nursing, Medicine), Accrediting Bodies (e.g., ACCME, ACPE, AGD), and Joint-Providers to fulfill your CE/CME requirements. Completion Data includes but is not limited to your Name, DOB, License Number, Registry IDs, and Survey Responses. If you choose not to provide this information, we may be unable to report your credits. Where permitted, you may elect to self-report your course completions.

  • Grant Providers, Commercial Supporters & Educational Partners:

    We may share aggregated or de-identified information with grant providers, commercial supporters, accreditors, joint providers, or educational partners for program evaluation, outcomes reporting, accreditation compliance, grant/support compliance, and business analysis. We share personally identifiable information with such parties only where required by law, accreditation standards, the specific educational activity terms, or with your consent. If a specific activity requires sharing identifiable information with a grant provider, commercial supporter, or educational partner, we will disclose that in connection with that activity where required.

  • Legal Requirements & Fraud Protection: We may disclose your personal info, IP address, course progress data, login logs, and certificate history if we believe it is necessary to:

    1. Comply with a legal obligation or court order.

    2. Protect and defend the rights or property of Ruthaby LLC.

    3. Respond to payment disputes or chargebacks (sharing evidence with banks/processors as authorized in our Terms of Service).

4. SECURITY

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private financial information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

5. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain your account, comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, and accreditation obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud, and operate our business. Course completion records, certificates, reporting records, and related accreditation documentation are retained for at least seven (7) years or longer where required by applicable law, accreditor requirements, or regulatory obligations. Payment information is processed by our payment processors, and we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We may retain transaction records, support records, marketing preferences, analytics data, and account information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

6. SMS & TEXT MESSAGING

  • Transactional SMS:

    By providing your mobile number and using our services, you consent to receive necessary operational text messages (e.g., password resets, webinar reminders, purchase receipts).

  • Marketing SMS:

    You may separately opt-in to receive promotional text messages about sales, new courses, or events. As stated in our Terms of Service, consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Opt-Out:

    You can opt-out of SMS communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any message.

  • "Do Not Track" Signals:

    Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature. Because there is no uniform standard for these signals, our Site does not currently process or respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
