Virginia Physician Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physician Assistants in Virginia renew their licenses biennially in the odd year during their birth month and must maintain current certification by the NCCPA or an equivalent certification body to fulfill CME requirements. Mandatory CME topics include a one-hour course on human trafficking recognition and response during each renewal cycle.
