State requirements for Massachusetts Physician Assistants

domestic violence training as required by Massachusetts law.
Massachusetts Physician Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physician Assistants in Massachusetts must renew their licenses biennially by March 1st of odd-numbered years, completing 100 contact hours of continuing education every renewal cycle. At least 40 hours must be AMA PRA Category 1 or equivalent Category 1 credits, including a minimum of 4 hours in pharmacology or pharmacokinetics. Those who prescribe controlled substances must fulfill specific opioid and pain management education requirements mandated by Massachusetts General Law. Additionally, PAs must complete domestic violence training as part of licensure requirements. License renewal is processed through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Physician Assistants
