Rhode Island Physician Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physician Assistants in Rhode Island must renew their licenses annually by June 30, completing 25 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CME annually or maintain active NCCPA certification. No minimum live or in-person CME hours are mandated. Rhode Island accepts NCCPA certification in lieu of CME credits, and all CME must be AMA PRA Category 1 credit approved. These regulations are overseen by the Rhode Island Department of Health Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline Rhode Island PA Licensing and CME requirements provider NetCE Rhode Island CME .
