First-Time Renewal for Registered Technicians: If your initial registration was within six months before March 31 of the renewal year, your first registered technician renewal does not require CE hours—you only need to renew by the deadline.

Certifications: Technicians with PTCB or NHA certification may apply to upgrade their status to Certified Pharmacy Technician via eLicense during renewal cycles, but national certification is not required for Registered Technician renewal.

Immunization Training: Pharmacy Technicians in Ohio are not authorized to administer immunizations, so no immunization training or CE is required for their renewals.
Certified Technicians follow the September 30 cycle and national CE standards (20 hrs total)
