Every Florida registered pharmacy technician must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education per biennial renewal cycle, to satisfy Florida pharmacy technician license renewal. Florida sets no live-instruction minimum for technicians, so all 20 hours may be completed through home study or online courses like the Florida Pharmacy Technician CE Package . Within the 20 hours, technicians must complete 2 hours on Florida medication errors CE , every renewal period. Technicians may also earn up to 5 of their required hours by attending an 8-hour Board of Pharmacy meeting in person.
