All Pharmacy Technician Need: 1 Hour HIV/AIDS CE Initial Renewal
Standard Renewal Requirements
Every Florida registered pharmacy technician must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education per biennial renewal cycle, to satisfy Florida pharmacy technician license renewal. Florida sets no live-instruction minimum for technicians, so all 20 hours may be completed through home study or online courses like the Florida Pharmacy Technician CE Package . Within the 20 hours, technicians must complete 2 hours on Florida medication errors CE , every renewal period. Technicians may also earn up to 5 of their required hours by attending an 8-hour Board of Pharmacy meeting in person.

First-Time Requirements
If the first renewal falls less than 12 months after initial licensure, technicians must complete only 1 hour of HIV/AIDS CE and 2 hours of medication errors CE , with no general hours required.
