Required Courses:None
  • First-time renewal: New licensees may skip the 10-hour CE by (1) reading Alaska Board of Pharmacy statutes & regulations and (2) finishing employer-based training that meets 12 AAC 52.230 under a pharmacist-in-charge’s supervision.

  • Certification alternative: A current

or NHA® ExCPT® certification automatically satisfies Alaska’s CE requirement, making a dedicated PTCB recertification package a convenient renewal option for technicians.

  • Immunization authority: Technicians who plan to administer vaccines must finish an ACPE-accredited immunization course plus maintain CPR/AED certification, as declared on the renewal form (Part V). See the Board’s

    for exact language.

  • Record-keeping & audit: Keep CE certificates for at least four years; the Board audits a percentage of renewals and pulls data directly from NABP CPE Monitor.
