Additional information

Florida Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Florida dentists must report 30 CE hours to CE Broker and renew by February 28 of even years. Each biennium must include 2 hours on prevention of medical errors and 2 hours on safe and effective prescribing of controlled substances (counts toward the 28 general hours), plus live BLS/CPR certification. A 2-hour domestic violence course is required every third cycle, and a 2-hour HIV/AIDS course applies only to the first renewal. All remaining hours may be chosen from Board-approved clinical or practice-management subjects, and optional credit is available for teaching, publications, volunteer service, or other Board-specified activities.
