Florida Dental Hygienist CE

• Florida Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: Florida dental hygienists must report 24 hours of continuing education to CE Broker every two years and renew their licenses by February 28 of even-numbered years. Each cycle must include 2 hours on prevention of medical errors , while 2 hours on domestic violence are required every third cycle and a 2-hour HIV/AIDS course is mandatory only for the first renewal. A live, hands-on CPR/BLS certification course is also required each biennium, though it does not count toward the 24-hour total. Hygienists can fulfil the remainder of their hours with any Board-approved subjects and may earn limited credit through observing Board disciplinary meetings or providing pro-bono dental-hygiene services.
