I am always interested in continuing education in the areas of health, wellness, nutrition and mental health. Your course was well written, well organized and helpful in meeting state licensure requirements.
Very well written, easy to digest, time efficient, and straight to the point. Thank you!
I appreciate the convenience of the course being online and accessible through my phone and that it directly reports to CEBroker to support mandated education requirements.
I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
I am always looking for concise ,thorough, and up to date continuing education, and this course provided exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
Enjoyed this course! It squarely met my license renewal requirement as a physician. It was well-written, and an altogether enjoyable read.

How many CE hours do Oregon dentists need?
Oregon dentist CE totals 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, directly related to clinical patient care or the practice of dental public health. Renewal is due March 31, and your cycle follows the year you were first licensed: dentists first licensed in an odd-numbered year renew in odd-numbered years (next: March 31, 2027), and those first licensed in an even-numbered year renew in even-numbered years (next: March 31, 2028) ( OAR 818-021-0060 ; Oregon Board of Dentistry ). The full 40 hours apply from your first renewal. Teaching and scientific presentations are capped at 12 hours, pro bono and similar service at 6 hours combined, and practice management and patient relations at 4 hours. Complete the online portion with the Oregon dentist CE package . Also see Oregon dental hygienist CE .
Which CE topics are required for Oregon dentists?
Every renewal you need 3 hours of Medical Emergencies , 2 hours of Infection Control and 2 hours of Cultural Competency , plus current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification ( OAR 818-021-0060 ). Oregon dentists also complete a 1-hour Oregon-specific pain management course provided by the Pain Management Commission of the Oregon Health Authority. The rule treats it as a one-time requirement, so check with the Board whether it applies again at your renewal. Dentists who place endosseous implants need 7 hours of implant CE each renewal period, plus 56 hours of hands-on training before placing a first implant ( OAR 818-012-0005 ; Board implant FAQ ). Sedation permit holders need 4 hours (nitrous oxide or minimal sedation) or 14 hours (moderate sedation, deep sedation or general anesthesia) every 2 years, which also count toward the 40 ( Board anesthesia permits ). A dentist with a DEA registration completes the federal DEA MATE training once ( DEA MATE Act FAQ ).
Does Oregon accept AGD PACE credit?
Oregon requires CE directly related to clinical patient care or dental public health ( OAR 818-021-0060 ). AchieveCE is an AGD PACE approved provider (ID# 386503). AGD PACE approval does not imply acceptance by any regulatory authority or AGD endorsement. Confirm that a specific course qualifies with the Oregon Board of Dentistry , and contact us if you need the AGD PACE details for your records.
Does Oregon audit dentist CE?
Yes. Oregon dentists and hygienists self-certify CE at renewal, and the Board audits about 15% of licensees after each renewal period closes. Keep your CE records for at least 4 licensure years and produce them on request ( OAR 818-021-0060 ; Oregon Board of Dentistry ). Oregon does not use CE Broker for dentists, so there is nothing to submit up front. AchieveCE reports your completions to AGD PACE within 24 business hours, and your certificate is available the moment you finish a course. Our support team is on live chat, email, and phone, 7 days a week.
Do Oregon dentists need live CE?
No. Oregon sets no live-instruction minimum, so all 40 hours can be completed online or through distance learning that concludes in an exam ( OAR 818-021-0060 ). Our Oregon dentist package covers your hours online, and you can add live webinars with the Dentistry Advanced membership .
Do newly licensed Oregon dentists need CE for their first renewal?
Yes. The full 40 hours apply starting with your first renewal, with no reduced or prorated count. The one-time items (pain management, the 56-hour implant training and DEA MATE) do not count toward the 40 hours ( OAR 818-021-0060 ; Oregon Board of Dentistry ).
