Required Courses:None

A total of 32 continuing education (CE) hours are required for each renewal period.

8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders for DEA-registered practitioners (except for DVM-only license holders)

Dentists administering moderate or minimal sedation must maintain CE in sedation, airway management, pharmacology, patient monitoring, and medical emergencies.

Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on sedation-related services.
