Hawaii Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Hawaii dentists must renew every two years by December 31 (odd years) and document 38 CE hours earned between Jan 1 2024 – Dec 31 2025. Coursework must include 6 hours of ethics plus an in-person BLS course (and ACLS/PALS for anesthesia permit holders). At least 17 hours must be clinical content, with the remaining hours flexible so long as they are from Board-approved providers. Virtual CE is accepted this biennium, except for the required hands-on BLS/ACLS/PALS component. DCCA
