Hormone therapy is used for different indications. This course uses menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) for menopause-related treatment, testosterone therapy for confirmed hypogonadism, and gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) for gender-affirming care, reserving the broader term Hormone therapy for statements that apply across indications. It equips physicians, advanced practice nurses, pharmacists, and allied clinicians with a contemporary, evidence-based framework for prescribing, monitoring, and counseling across menopause, hypogonadism, and gender-affirming care, because indications, contraindications, doses, targets, and monitoring differ across these settings.
