3 hours of Ethics and Boundaries or Telehealth (courses alternate each biennium)
3 hours of Laws and Rules (every third biennium)
Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Standard Renewal Requirements: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in Florida must renew their licenses every two years by March 31 of odd-numbered years, completing 30 hours of continuing education per cycle. Required courses include 2 hours of Medical Error Prevention each cycle, 3 hours of Ethics and Boundaries or Telehealth training alternating each renewal, and every third renewal cycle requires 3 hours of Florida Laws and Rules plus 2 hours of Domestic Violence training. Qualified Supervisors must complete 4 hours of supervisor training every third renewal. There is no minimum live or in-person hour requirement. CE credits must be obtained from board-approved providers registered in CE Broker. Licenses that are not timely renewed enter delinquent status and may eventually become null. Continuing Education
