Verified reviewState requirements for Alabama Licensed Practical Nurses
Alabama LPN Standard Renewal Requirements: Alabama LPNs must renew their licenses every two years, by December 31 of odd years, and complete 24 contact hours of approved continuing education for each renewal cycle. For a first-time renewal, 4 of the required hours must be from a Board-provided mandatory course on state law and regulations; this is a one-time requirement.
