• District of Columbia Certified Nurse Aide Standard Renewal Requirements: DC CNAs must renew their certification every two years by October 31 of odd years and document 24 hours of continuing education or in-service relevant to nursing aide practice. Mandatory content includes 2 hours in cultural competency/LGBTQ + clinical training and at least 10% in current DC public health priority topics; employers may attest to CE completion.
