Course description
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) comprises a cluster of neurodegenerative brain conditions leading to gradual decline in behavior, language, and/or movement. It impacts the frontal and temporal lobes, governing emotions, judgment, personality, memory, and language. Diagnosing FTD clinically can be complex due to symptom overlap with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia forms. FTD can be classified into three main types based on primary symptoms: behavioral variant FTD, primary progressive aphasia, and progressive motor decline. While most FTD cases do not seem to have a hereditary component, genetics does play a role in a notable subset of instances. Presently, there's no definitive treatment or cure for FTD, but symptom management strategies exist. This course will explore potential causes, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and symptom management techniques for FTD.

Very well written, easy to digest, time efficient, and straight to the point. Thank you!
I appreciate the convenience of the course being online and accessible through my phone and that it directly reports to CEBroker to support mandated education requirements.
I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
