Michigan Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: Michigan dental hygienists renew their license every three years and must complete 36 hours of CE, including required training in pain management, ethics/jurisprudence, infection control , and human trafficking . At least 12 hours must be live or interactive; no more than 18 hours may be online or asynchronous. Board-approved courses are required; see all rules on the official licensing guide .
