1.5 hours Implicit Bias for all nurses
One-time requirement:
3 hours course for Domestic Violence
1.5 hours course for Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma
2 hours for Suicide Prevention
Kentucky Registered Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: Kentucky RNs must renew their license annually by October 31 and complete 14 contact hours of board-approved continuing education. The Board allows multiple options to satisfy the annual competency requirement, including completion of 14 hours of CE, a combination of CE and employer evaluation, or holding current national certification. Several one-time mandatory topics are required during the course of a nurse’s practice, but there are no annual topic restrictions.
