Oregon Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Oregon dentists must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their license, with at least half focused on clinical patient care. They are required to include specific mandated courses such as medical emergencies , infection control , cultural competency, and a state-specific pain management course. Dentists working with implants have additional CE requirements. The Board allows extensive use of supervised self-instruction but requires documentation and subjects CE to audit by the Board.
