South Carolina Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Standard Renewal Requirements: Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine in South Carolina must renew licenses biennially by June 30 of even years, completing 40 hours of AMA PRA Category 1™ and/or AOA Category 1 CME every two years. Of these, 30 hours should be specialty-related CME, and a minimum of 2 hours of CME focused on
controlled substance prescribingand pain management is mandatory every cycle. No minimum live or in-person CME is specified. CME courses must be accredited by recognized osteopathic or allopathic bodies.
