District of Columbia Osteopathic Physician Standard Renewal Requirements: DC requires 50 AMA PRA Category 1™ hours every two years for physicians (MD/DO). Within those hours, physicians must complete 5 hours in Director-designated Public Health Priorities, 2 hours in LGBTQ cultural competency, and at least one pharmacology course. New licenses issued on/after June 16, 2024 expire on the last day of the licensee’s birth month (Board announcement; authority in 17 DCMR § 4006.3).
