3 hrs Schedule II pharmacology CE each cycle to keep Schedule II furnishing privileges (Only for DEA holders). rn.ca.gov

Additional information

California APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: California APRNs must complete 30 board-approved contact hours every two years to maintain an active certificate. For newly licensed APRNs, a one-time, one-hour implicit bias course must be completed within the first two years, and nurse practitioners primarily serving older adult populations (over 25% of caseload age 65+) must include 6 out of the 30 hours in geriatric or dementia-focused courses. All CE must be earned through a BRN-approved provider, and there are no in-person or specific subject hour minimums unless otherwise specified by the APRN’s practice focus.
