15 Live Hours
Infection control training is required for renewal
BLS/CPR must be hands-on (does not count toward CE hour total)
New Mexico Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: New Mexico dental hygienists must renew every three years, completing 45 CE hours per cycle, with no more than 30 hours allowed from online or self-study. Mandatory infection control training is required for renewal, and CPR/BLS must be completed via a hands-on course but is not included in hour totals. The board offers 3 CE credits annually for passing its open-book jurisprudence exam. Full details and renewal procedures are available on the official NM Dental Board CE requirements page .
