At least 25 of the 30 hours must relate to the treatment, health and safety of the individual dental patient. One hour is credited per 50 to 60 minutes of contact instruction, and up to 15 excess hours carry forward into the next block ( 20 CSR 2110-2.240 ). A hygienist with an Expanded Functions Permit renews it with the same hours, not additional ones ( 20 CSR 2110-2.130 ). Finish all 30 with the Missouri dental hygienist CE package .
