Tennessee Pharmacist Standard Renewal Requirements: Pharmacists in Tennessee must renew their license every two years—typically in their birth month—with renewal notices sent approximately 60 days before expiration. To comply, licensees must complete 30 hours of Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE), of which at least 15 hours must be earned live ; the remaining hours may be met through elective or home‑study formats. Additionally, DEA‑registered pharmacists must complete specific topic-based CE: at least 2 hours related to controlled substances/ opioid prescribing and 2 hours immunization-related content each cycle.
