Florida Physical Therapy Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physical Therapy Assistants in Florida must renew their licenses biennially by March 31 of even years with completion of 24 continuing education hours, including a mandatory 2-hour course on Prevention of Medical Errors. There is no live or in-person hour mandate, and 22 hours may be general CE. The Florida Board of Physical Therapy enforces these requirements, and detailed rules can be found on their official renewal CE page Continuing Education
