South Carolina Physical Therapy Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physical Therapy Assistants in South Carolina must renew their licenses every two years by December 31 of even-numbered years, completing 30 continuing education hours per renewal period, including 3 hours focused on ethics or professionalism. At least 15 hours must be certified contact hours. Licenses may also be renewed by completion of designated fellowships, residencies, or board certifications that fulfill CE requirements. These rules are provided by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Renewal and Continuing Education .
