Florida Physical Therapist Standard Renewal Requirements: Physical therapists in Florida must renew their licenses biennially by November 30 of odd years, completing 24 continuing education hours during the previous two-year licensure period. Of these hours, 2 must focus on Prevention of Medical Errors, and newly licensed therapists must complete an additional 1-hour HIV/AIDS course at their first renewal. At least 12 hours must be "live" (interactive webinars or in-person).
