Renewal requires 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including 6 hours of ethics, 2 hours of LGBTQ cultural competency or specialized clinical training, and at least 3 hours (10%) in public health priority topics. At least 15 of the total CE hours must be live or face-to-face, with the board accepting approved online courses for the remainder. First-time renewal applicants are exempt from CE requirements.
