Delaware Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Delaware dentists must complete 50 CPE hours every two years and renew their licenses by 31 May of the renewal year. No more than 30 hours may be self-study, so at least 20 hours must come from live or interactive coursework. Each cycle must contain 2 hours of Infection Control training, and dentists must also maintain current hands-on CPR certification (required in addition to the 50 hours). Practice-management content is capped at ten hours, while activities such as teaching, publishing, self-study with post-tests and volunteer pro-bono service can all count toward the total within the Board’s limits.
