  • Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker Standard Renewal Requirements: Licensed Social Workers in Pennsylvania must renew their licenses biennially by February 28 of odd-numbered years, completing 30 clock hours of continuing education approved by the Board. While there is no live CE requirement, licensees must complete specific mandatory training: 1 hour in suicide prevention, 2 hours in child abuse recognition and reporting from Board/DHS-approved providers, and 3 hours in professional ethics. Renewal must be completed online through the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) with a $95 fee.
