I have not updated my approach to acne treatment in probably 15 years. The main issue is cost of the newer products. Sad to say, I will probably continue what I'm doing because it is the most cost effective and the course did not show that there was strong clinical benefit for changing. I will probably relax my use of oral tetracyclines in younger patients and its nice to know that minocycline is clearly the least expensive. If Amzeeq is covered, I would consider that. Seysera is sort of a joke because in the clinical setting I can't recall many patients stopping a tetracycline because of GI issues. My gracious, how can physicians justify the cost for something that the author says is so new that we have no comparisons to traditional teteracyclines.

I felt that the courses were interesting and relevant. It was a very good way for me to obtain continuing education requirements for licensure, because I have some immune issues due to medication that make traditional group learning settings unsafe for me.

This was a really worth while and significant course and the format of youtube video was way more effective for me than just a regular online course.

THE INFORMATION WAS THOUROGH AND IMPORTANT. MY REAL ISSUE IS IT WILL BE EASILY FORGOTTEN, I WANTED TO PRINT IT ALL OUT BUT COULDNOT.

Course presentation is clean and easy to follow. The statistics used are 20+ years old. When clinicians are required to take this course (and other license mandatory courses) , the information should include the basic history and reason for the course as well as the most current up to date statistics. That is the reason for taking “continuing education” right…to stay current in our ever changing and advancing fields. Either the medical/dental fields and the “systems” they implemented are improving or they aren’t. Care providers genuinely(I believe) want to “just take care of their patients” …hard to focus on patients when there is so much red tape BS keeping a care taker from doing the ONLY thing they want to do. The current stats must reflect the NOW in medicine. Respectfully.

The course was informative , but we should be able to know what questions that we answered correctly then be able to restudy the wrong ones and then retake the test.

It provided the information I was looking for and fulfilled the state requirement.

Some of the info is a few years dated, but overall a good review and some new drug info for me. Thanks for providing this CME activity.
