South Carolina Registered Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: South Carolina RNs must renew their licenses every two years by April 30 of even-numbered years. Renewal requires 30 contact hours of approved continuing education, but nurses may also document employer competency, maintain national certification, or complete an academic program as alternative evidence of continued competency. All requirements and forms are detailed on the South Carolina Board of Nursing website .

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
