Florida APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: Florida APRNs must complete 24 contact hours of Board-approved continuing education every two years, timed to their license expiration (April 30 or July 31). All licensees must complete specific hours in medical errors , laws and rules , human trafficking , and—depending on their role— prescribing controlled substances , workplace impairment , and domestic violence , with a single one-time course in HIV/AIDS required before their first renewal. These requirements and renewal processes are fully detailed by the Florida Board of Nursing .
