Georgia Occupational Therapist Standard Renewal Requirements: Occupational Therapists licensed in Georgia must renew their licenses every two years by March 31 of even-numbered years and complete 24 contact hours of continuing education during each renewal period. At least 12 of these hours must pertain to direct patient care, and 2 hours must be dedicated specifically to ethics in occupational therapy practice. There is no minimum specified for live or in-person continuing education hours. The Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy governs these requirements, which are detailed in the Georgia administrative code and board policies.

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay.
