  • Washington Licensed Massage Therapist Standard Renewal Requirements: Licensed Massage Therapists in Washington must renew their licenses annually by their birthdate, with renewals accepted up to 90 days prior to expiration. Every two years, they must complete 24 hours of continuing education, including at least 8 hours of in-person, hands-on massage therapy training. There is a mandatory 4-hour component covering professional ethics, client communication, professional roles, boundaries or state law; 2 hours of that may come from board meeting attendance. Additionally, 2 hours of health equity training are required per reporting period. Current CPR or equivalent certification must be maintained and can count for up to 4 hours of CE. Renewal includes payment of fees and submission of compliance documentation
