Kentucky Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Standard Renewal Requirements: Kentucky requires Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to complete 25 continuing education hours per renewal cycle, with the renewal period based on the certification/license card dates tied to birth month and year. The continuing education must adhere to the National Registry of EMTs National Continued Competency Program (NREMT NCCP) model, currently accepting both 2016 and 2025 versions until end of 2025, after which only the 2025 model is accepted. CE credits must be earned through KBEMS-approved providers, including CAPCE-accredited courses and various Kentucky official entities.
