Florida Paramedic Standard Renewal Requirements: Paramedics in Florida must renew their license every two years by May 31 of odd years via submission of a Department of Health-approved 30-hour refresher course or by passing a challenge examination. Training must cover pediatric emergencies and prevention of medical errors along with additional approved topics. CPR certification is required, with course acceptance determined by the Florida Department of Health. Certificates lapse into inactive status if not renewed timely, with specific reactivation requirements and fees.
