2 hours in Pediatric Emergencies
Florida Paramedic Standard Renewal Requirements: Paramedics in Florida must renew their license December 1st in even numbered years via submission of a Department of Health-approved 30-hour refresher course. The refresher training must cover 2 hours of pediatric emergencies with the remainder being in appropriate topics according to U.S. DOT National EMS Education Standards . CPR certification is required, with course acceptance determined by the Florida Department of Health. Certificates lapse into inactive status if not renewed timely, with specific reactivation requirements and fees.
