2 hours in Pediatric Emergencies
Florida Emergency Medical Technician Standard Renewal Requirements: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Florida must renew their certification every two years by December 1st, 2026 participating in a Department of Health approved 30-hour refresher program. Required continuing education topics include 2 hours of Pediatric Emergencies which is apart of the total 30 hour requirement. Certificates that lapse become involuntary inactive and may be reactivated with additional requirements, including examinations and fees. Renewal fees vary based on timing and certificate status.
