Virginia Pharmacy Technician Standard Renewal Requirements: Each year, Virginia-registered pharmacy technicians must complete 5 contact hours of approved continuing education to renew their registration by December 31—no live hours or specific topic credits are required. Up to 1 of the 5 hours may also be earned through volunteer services at low-income health departments or free clinics.
