Those who prescribe controlled substances and hold DEA registration must complete a Board-approved 2-hour controlled-substance prescribing course each renewal; it counts within the 40 hours. See the Board’s MD Renewal page and Rules 64B8-13.005 and 64B8-13.008 for full details. (Florida Board – MD Renewal; F.A.C. 64B8-13.005; F.A.C. 64B8-13.008)

(F.S. 893.055(8); FLHealthSource PDMP FAQ)
---
Human trafficking / Abuse recognition: Florida requires a one-time 1-hour human-trafficking course (by Jan 1, 2021) which counts toward total hours; signage requirements apply to workplaces. (F.S. 456.0341(1)-(2), (3))

I appreciate the convenience of the course being online and accessible through my phone and that it directly reports to CEBroker to support mandated education requirements.
I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
