How many CE hours do Arizona Technicians need?
Every Arizona pharmacy technician must complete 20 contact hours of continuing education per 2-year renewal period, from an Arizona Board of Pharmacy-approved provider, to satisfy Arizona pharmacy technician license renewal. Arizona sets no live-instruction minimum for pharmacy technician CE, so all 20 hours may be completed online at your own pace with an accredited package like the Arizona 20-Hr Package . Within the 20 hours, all Arizona pharmacy technicians must complete 3 hours on Arizona opioid and controlled substance CE for pharmacy technicians every renewal cycle. Certified (CPhT) technicians are required 20 CE hours every 2 years to their national certifying body. The national certification requirement runs alongside, not in place of, Arizona's own state requirement.
