Tennessee Emergency Medical Responder Standard Renewal Requirements: Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) in Tennessee must renew their licenses every two years based on birth month and year, with expiration on the last day of that month. They are required to complete 10 hours of Board-approved continuing education, including 2 hours on pediatric topics. At least half the CE must occur in a live classroom setting. Records of CE and CPR certification must be maintained for audits, and renewals are submitted online via the Tennessee Licensing and Regulatory System.
