Total Hours Required:
30 hours
Next Renewal Date:
September 30, 2023 – every 2 years
Required Courses:
- 28 general hours
- 2 hours in prescribing of controlled substances for the treatment of acute dental pain
- CPR and AED must be current to practice dentistry
Wisconsin Dental Hygienist
Total Hours Required:
12 hours
Next Renewal Date:
September 30, 2023 – every 2 years
Required Courses:
- 10 general hours
- 2 hours in infection control
- Licensees can not obtain more than 2 credit hours to satisfy the CPR and AED requirement.

- Continuing education requirements do not apply to the biennium in which a license is first issued.
