It should be more about salon IC and Safety not about a pandemic
Lots of typos, has nothing to do with cosmetology and salon safety
Felt neutral while reading, but then realized this course wasn't really over anything for salon infection control, and understanding proper disinfection of equipment. This course felt more nurse orientated and felt somewhat dated with the talk about Covid-19 and focusing on pandemics, rather than how a disease can be spread normally.
In section two question 2: there was no question. it was an incomplete senctence question 3: the first two answers were the same questions 15 and 16: the questions regarded a case that was not listed
This guy is geared towards health care works way more then cosmetologist.
Pretty painful overall. The use of multiple generic medication names and assuming the student participant will automatically associate these multiple drug names with a mechanism of action or treatment recommendation was hard to follow and frustrating
This course covered too much detailed information pertaining to Covid. Honestly, I don't feel refreshed at all. Plus, some of the questions were kinda tricky with the answers...Questions should be "transparent" to what the correct answer should be according to what we've just read..Or, why bother having us read the literature before hand, if we have to question it. I truly think this course should be updated and more focused on what Infection Control & Safety basics really are as a refresher and not having unnecessary information included . These courses should help us and not make us feel like we're wasting our time doing them. Especially, when infection control and safety is so important and could lead to a life or death situation.
really wish i had more visual guidance or a video of sorts. Info about general sanitation or things that apply to hairstylists would have been great, this was entirely about Covid..
Too political, social science oriented. Needed more info about medical breakthroughs over a broader range of general medical, medical subspecialties, and surgical subspecialities
Poor organization to answer questions and question 19 had no correct answer.
Content was very heavy in pharmacology. I did not see that described in the area of focus. More versatility would be nice.
test questions have peculiar wording. Content more appropriate for pain management physicians.
do not like the lecture model. prefer self reading of information to decrease time spent
Course primarily contains information based on procedures followed by medical professionals during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, rather than salon professionals, which is supposed to be the core focus of this course. Course should be updated to be more relevant to salon professionals, along with updated information due to Covid restrictions/precautions having been lifted.
Too much non-relative info. I'm an esthetician, not EMS or hospital worker. Too much detail about the Covid pandemic. Should be more tailored to a salon/spa setting.
Some of the correct answers I selected switched after I hit submit
Data was old, post test based heavily on pages of statistics gleaned from "media reports," link to court case not functional (name of case not given, only what media "dubbed" the case).
The other required CE course was free & had an engaging video. Easier to follow along and remember. This format could've been more easily digestible with better visuals & a reminder as to why this is important & relevant for the cosmetology industry.
I checked the correct boxes for all of the answers...when I looked at the answers selected ( after submitting) I DID NOT check those. SO not sure why that happened???? very irritating!!!
Had nothing to do with Salons in my opinion and all COVID info
While I appreciate the ability to complete the course for educational requirements, this course is very outdated as the we are now 5 years past the Covid-19 pandemic. This course is better suited for EMS workers rather than Estheticians.
As stated earlier, I do not feel like I received any updated information as far as it applies to my cosmetology license. I am grateful to be able to get a refresher course on COVID and communicable diseases however I do not feel like it is covering certain topics that applies to my field of work. I am hoping that other cosmetologists have enough common sense to remember the basics from school. Because this course did not pertain to anything in my field aside from the spread of basic viruses. In fact I'm not sure I even took the right test. This seems like it should be a test for EMS workers or hospital workers more so than cosmetologist.
This course seems like it was put together by about six people that all wanted their say and all ended up repeating the same information many times over. Very redundant and a waste of a busy professionals time.
nothing to do with Cosmetology at all, like hair , skin nails or anything we learned before
