Utah Pharmacy Technician Standard Renewal Requirements: Utah pharmacy technicians must renew their license every two years (licenses expire September 30 of odd-numbered years, next due September 30, 2025) by completing 20 hours of CE, including 6 hours of live or technology-enabled instruction , 1 hour of pharmacy law or ethics , and—if administering vaccines— 2 hours in immunization topics . Holding an active PTCB or ExCPT certification satisfies all CE requirements except the vaccine-related portion.
