Pennsylvania Pharmacy Standard Renewal Requirements: Pharmacists in Pennsylvania must renew licenses every two years, with the next deadline being September 30, 2026, following the biennial cycle. Renewal requires a total of 30 contact hours, including mandated hours in patient safety , opioid/pain management , child abuse recognition , and injectables (if applicable), while the rest can be elective. First-time renewal: Newly graduated licensees within the current biennium (e.g., initial licensure between October 1 or 2024 through renewal) are exempt from most CE requirements, but must still complete 2 hours of child abuse recognition and reporting and 2 hours of Act 124 opioid CE .

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay.
